Inkshares Preview #7 – The Walls are Closing In by Jacqui Castle

I previewed The Walls are Closing In back when I first bought it. I found the preview quick and easy to read, and I was drawn in by the premise.

The story follows Patch Evans as she investigates the truth within a nightmare surveillance state. As she discovers more about her closed-off country and her own family, she must decide who far she will go to spread the news to the masses.

Reviews praise the obvious allegories to the modern world, and the preview chapters offer a glance into a world both terrifying and plausible. Check out The Walls are Closing In here!

Inkshares Preview #6 – Mission 51 by Ferd Crôtte

Ferd Crôtte entered Mission 51 in the Nerdist Contest and won big, and now this tale of an alien among us is in production.

Mat is an alien who landed in Area 51 in 1954. Mat escapes from Area 51 on a cross-country adventure, and is forced to flee from several parties who want to recapture him. Mat does his best to fit in and discover what America is about as he seeks a way to return home.

Reviews for Mission 51 praise the allegory to the plights of immigrants to America, and the preview chapters promise an engaging read to come.  Check out Mission 51 on its Inkshares page here!

Inkshares Preview #5 – Tantalus Depths by Evan Graham

Evan Graham‘s Tantalus Depths resulted from one of the most popular campaigns run on Inkshares.

Mary Ketch is part of a survey mission to Tantalus 13 with a simple mission  to help a self-constructing facility build a mining base on a barren rock. During the work, however, the survey team realizes that Tantalus is not a planet at all, but a construct with an unknown purpose.
